Welcome to the Centre for Stress Management, a multi-discipline wellness centre in Hong Kong that integrates state-of-the-art well-being counselling services, career - life - relationship coaching, organizational human capital consulting, and individual-corporate training programs that empowers our clients to go from (just barely) surviving to (consistently) thriving. The Centre for Stress Management co-founders have over 50 years of combined medical and psychological experience in working with stress to better understand how to assess and treat the impact stress has on our overall physical and emotional well-being. Our Hong Kong Centre for Stress Management well-being services for individuals, couples, families and organizations is a part of the Flourish Asia Group who is currently developing a wellness centre resort and a substance abuse rehab centre in Thailand. Our four pillar wellness program brings to Hong Kong for the first time a best practice, evidence-based lifestyle medicine (physical - behavioral) and positive psychology (emotional - cognitive) range of growth mindset services that is affordable (sliding fee scale), understandable - believable - actionable, and tailored made for the client, not the diagnosis. We work with clients who are experiencing a wide range of wellness issues from anxiety, sleep disorders, mood and depression, substance abuse, family and marriage conflicts, work - life disruptions, career and life coaching, eating disorders, grief, sexuality, anger management, ageing, academic and work performance challenges.

Stress is not "just in your head," the short and long-term effects of unhealthy stress can impact almost every part of your physical body and your cognitive - emotional state. Yet, stress is an essential element of the human body that has allowed our species to survive and thrive, what we call eustress (e.g. the stress we happily go through to build a more fuel efficient car). However, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), stress is the major cause for over 75% of doctor visits, healthcare treatments, relationship strain, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, sick days from work and school, emotional illness, various medical ailments and unhealthy lifestyles. Stress that becomes unhealthy and chronic can cause our physical and mental well-being to become ill (poor health), directly impacting a person's longevity (how short or long is our lifespan) and influencing our overall quality of life and well-being (how well we live each day).
